Briony has always been fascinated with language, writing and rules of grammar. She is fascinated with history and conducting research projects. She now seeks to combine her passions of language, research and writing through proofreading and editing. For samples of Briony's work, see Portfolio.
One of Briony's proudest ongoing projects is serving as webmaster for Lower Hutt Historical Society (LHHS). Briony has been a long-standing member of Lower Hutt Historical Society and serves as webmaster, treasurer and historian. She also works as webmaster and content writer for Lower Hutt Forest & Bird Society.
Briony’s written works include local histories and histories of organisations, including the Lower Hutt-Waiwhetu Peace Group and New Zealand Futures Trust. Her published works include: A Tale of Two Cenotaphs, published through LHHS in 2005, a history of The History of New Zealand Futures Trust, and background research for pamphlets on the History of Carter Observatory, Wellington and Percy’s Scenic Reserve, Petone.
Briony has worked as a background researcher for Hutt Radio Naenae, Petone Settlers Museum, Petone and proofreader for the New Dowse, Lower Hutt.
In her spare time Briony enjoys writing, drawing, painting, gardening, crafts, chocolate making, cake decorating, yoga and workouts at the gym.
