"From Village to City" 5-part DVD series Briony Coote was background researcher for the 5-part DVD series, "From Village to City". This series was produced by John Terris, former Mayor of Lower Hutt. "From Village to City" uses interviews with five local personalities to explore the development of Hutt City from a backward city to the modern city it is today.
2008 - "Valleys & Bays"
Briony Coote was part of the proofreading team for "Valleys & Bays" by Alison Carey. This book lists the origins of street names for Lower Hutt, Eastbourne, Petone and Wainuiomata. It was published in association with Lower Hutt Historical Society.
2005 - "A Tale of Two Cenotaphs"
Briony Coote published "A Tale of Two Cenotaphs" in 2005, and it was the third in the local histories series from Lower Hutt Historical Society. "A Tale of Two Cenotaphs" profiles the history of the cenotaph outside Lower Hutt War Memorial Library and the Soldier in the Garden of Remembrance, Petone. The history places particular emphasis on how this history reflects changes in the ways Anzac Day and commemoration of World War I and II soldiers have changed over the years. The booklet also lists Rolls of Honour for Petone and Lower Hutt.
